    A Synopsis. Not a story

I thought this was a short story but it was just a synopsis of some other books.

    Good read

I like reading about the pariah normal. Not hat I believe in it but it can be a fun read with stuff flying around and doors slamming for no good reason. The characters in his story are fun people and do Hingis hat I never did. It s he kind of book that I like to relax with and even has a mystery thrown in for good measure. Nice treat.

    I loved it!

I am not usually a fan of novella length mysteries but this series never disappoints! The series is engaging and keeps getting better. I love the setting of South Cove and Coffee, Books and More. The characters are realistic and well written, especially Jill. The whodunit kept me guessing right until the conclusion. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    Great Novella!

Jill Gardner, owner of Coffee, Books, and More in South Cove, California is joining her boyfriend and three other couples in staying overnight at a supposed haunted house. The house was once owned by Maryanne Demerit, a healer who mysteriously disappeared one night. After they arrive, Jill experiences some suspicious activity, and decides to investigate. Can she find out what really happened to Maryanne before the old house is demolished? It is wonderful when an author can write so well that a novella can have the same intensity, character development, and plot twists as a full length novel. I think this would be a great read for any cozy mystery lover looking for some spooky Halloween fun. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

    Confusing timeline

I believe this is set after Rocket’s Dead Glare and I think the next novella will continue in that order. It is incredibly frustrating not to have the correct order available on Goodreads or even on the author’s website. I feel like this story created some new relationships and character revelations that won’t make sense if you read these in chronological order. I enjoyed this novella a lot, but it was written years after book 4. To have so much retcon happen is going to be confusing. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for this review.
