    A Newfoundlander in Canada

A very unique perspect of Canada as described by a touring musican. The observations are insiteful and written in a humorous and entertaining way. Every Canadian should read this book - they will be motivated to travel Canada to experience its diversity!

    An eye opener

I learned a lot about the growth and education of the boys from The Rock. Well written. Witty and very informative. Thoroughly enjoyed the content and the geographic style of the narrative.

    Simply wnderful!

As a 43 year old man, raised in Winipeg, with family roots in PEI, or "PIE", I simly loved this book. I read in bed, and I laughed so hard and shook the matttress so many times that I was afraid I woke up my wife. A joy to read from beginning to end. As a matter of fact, the fact it had to end was the only bad part of this book.

Be ready for a good time.

This book is so full with humour and life in Newfoundland. Go on a roadtrip with the Great Big Sea from St.Johns to Vancouver. Meet some of the characters that they encounter along the way.

A must read for anyone, but certainly Newfoundlanders!

Great book of stories on the road and the work and drive it takes to get what you want. Can't think of anyone in the world I'd rather sit down and have a beer with. Great read Mr. Doyle.
