    Sorry Anne, not this time.

I heard Anne interviewed on CBC radio and the interview led me to buy the book. It turns out the interview was much more interesting than the book. I have enjoyed her work in the past, but not this time. Possibly moving the parts around so they followed one another chronologically would have helped, but the long, long first part was a bore. Sorry Anne, not your usual.

    Interesting, entertaining & captivating

From the moment I started to read this book, I knew I'd finally found a book that I would want to hop into bed early so I could read it & I was never dissapointed!

    A Blue Spool of Thread

A good read. Interesting characters and interplay amongst family members. Enjoyed learning the back story of some of the characters...explained much of questionable behavior.

    A Spool of Blue Thread

A well written story about several generations of one imperfect family. Although not always told in a consecutive time frame, it makes sense as each character becomes more developed through the understanding of their own historical perspective.

    A spool of blue thread

I just hated to have this book end. I loved all the characters even Linnie Mae. I enjoyed the family dynamics and saw some of my own family there. I wish there was a sequel.
