    Love this series

I read these books separately and have combined my reviews. I think the books got better as the series progressed so I give the set a five overall. Half Wolf This was not the best shifter story I have read, but it is not the worst either. It was at least different from the normal wolf tale. I did enjoy the description of the show at the bar with the strip tease, although I am not sure what possessed Ginger to do this in such an obviously dangerous place. Fen may not be but half-wolf, but she knew what her duties as an alpha were. It would have been hard for her to suddenly have responsibility for other lives in a place where her heritage was such a handicap. I feel there could have been a little more background on her to make her easier to understand. I had to keep reminding myself that she was trying to do an Alpha's job with very few qualifications for the job. If she had trusted her wolf more she might have been better off, but apparently she had experience that this was not something she felt she could do. I did not like the constant repetition of "uber-alpha" and "troublesome twin" as another reviewer pointed out. I think is would be best to use the names instead of these constant descriptives. (And what the heck is an uber-alpha anyway? Does he drive for Uber? Just kidding.) That said, I would l like to read the next story and see how Fen and Hunter play out. Lone Wolf Dawn I loved this book. I liked the first one, but this one was fantastic. I loved Celia and how she did her best to let Fen know she was sorry for how she acted towards her as a child. I also loved that Fen has started to trust not only her wolf, but Hunter. This book was a great sequel and you will love it. Her old pack members show up and a few more wolves will join her family. there will be some hairy moments and Fen will find a home for her pack. I can't wait for the next one. I can't believe there will only be one more. There seems to be so many potential stories to tell of Ginger and her girlfriend and maybe Cinnamon can find a girl? How about Lia? Will she grow with her wolf and find a mate? How will Hunter be as a father? So many stories to tell. Wolf Landing I really loved this book. It has a little bit of everything. There is love, conflict, mystery, and some alpha showdowns. The book begins with Fen working with the one-body Robert on another in a string of murders that appear to be committed by a shifter, but Fen can find no sniff of a shifter. On the home front there is the upcoming All-pack where Fen hopes to have her pack recognized by the other packs and her territory upheld. When a ram is killed on the night of the pack run, things get hairy with the locals that blame one of the "dogs" for the kill. On top of that, the council enforcer that used to employ Hunter is sniffing around and has brought Hunter's replacement along for the ride. Join Fen and company as they battle to save themselves and their new home. Will they finally get to have the kind of pack they want? I sure hope we get more books on other pack members! I received free copie of these books and voluntarily reviewed them, as I do all the books I read.

    Growing to be an Alpha

Alpha Underground Trilogy by Aimee Easterling Fen stories had been very interesting, full of action, intrigue, suspense and with strong characters that kept my interest. Love the stories that stimulate my imagination and made me feel and understand the characters and these stories were very satisfying. Half Wolf Fen was leading her new pack as an alpha, a weak and unskilled one but anyway an alpha. Her leadership was teetering, her chickened wolf was not helping and the Enforcer was stalking them and they got involved in a very dangerous situation. Circumstances had added new mates to the pack and all was not peaches and cream. There was distrust, misunderstanding and even deceive and betrayal. But what seemed to be the obvious wasn’t and soon things got more complicated, the action fiercer and Fen had to make her mind and stand for what was duty and protect her pack. Really enjoyed the story, the characters, the story line, Fen inner bickering with her wolf and of course, her scenes with Hunter. Seems she was not without resources when it came to her attraction to him. Liked the author’s writing style. The characters were interesting, the narrations and descriptions detailed with Fen’s comments and even her cluelessness toward what was around her was amusing. Lone Wolf Dawn Fen still was thinking of herself as a rejected and weak werewolf. Good her mate Hunter pushed her to face a reality she had not wanted to deal with. He knew his mate needed to move on. When she received news of her father, she knew she didn’t have other choice. She must go and face her past. But things were not as she had though and soon they were in great danger. This second book was very interesting with action, suspense, intrigue, a lot of rogue werewolves and a good ending. Liked the twists in the story and how the plot development showed a Fen with a new purpose and sense of value. Wolf Landing In this final installment, Fen was fighting for a territory for her group and the right to be considered pack. Many obstacles were in her way and she and her mate were faced with a new Enforcer, murders, kidnapping and a threat to Fen and her wolf. Fen character had learned and grow a lot since the first story and her relationship with Hunter was solid. Enjoyed the plot development, the intrigue, the detailed descriptions and narrations and how they became pack. The author kept me reading avidly with all the action and suspense in the story.
