    Bipolarly magnificent

    As a bipolar victim, this book opened my mind to who I am and to who I don't have to be. For years I religiously took my daily doses of lithium but was never cured. How hard it was to become again a monster or a depressed and sad little girl. Reading this book finally gave me an understanding of the illness but also a profound understanding of myself. My psychiatrist recommended that I read this book and I am so grateful to her for doing so. Also grateful to myself for having had the courage to read it.

    Finished too quickly

    I haven’t read a book in such a long time that I am ashamed to admit it. This book though was over before I realized it. I literally had to double check that I was truly at the end of it. I have just recently started seeing a therapist to try to uncover some of my issues and/or motivations for choices I’ve made. She recommended this book and before I was even a few pages in, I realized this was so familiar. I almost cried knowing

    This book was an enlightening, intimate, insightful glimpse into the very personal struggles and joyous highs of living with manic depression. The book captures the authors amazing strength of character and ability to overcome her limitations and rise to her potential.
