    Delightful!

We visit a unique location in this next exciting book of this fantastic series! I enjoy Anders quiet and subtle approach to life. He studies his surroundings before taking any action. He would be considered the strong, silent type focused on his agenda. Angela is a reserved, intelligent young woman who is passionate about her work which, in this story, revolves around glaciers and cold, unpredictable weather. Think Mount Everest instead of just a little flurry of snow. This author’s depth of imagination is phenomenal. The imagery and detail put the reader right smack dab in the middle of a snowstorm, on a mountain with a nip of frostbite in the air! I can almost feel the blowing cold, wishing for the comfort of my fireplace and a hot cuppa. There is everything in this story – murder, mayhem, quirky and a small bit of normal if you count being near the top of a Swiss Alp type of terrain normal! The danger is two-fold with the weather and the bad guys. Oh, and there is the sexy, long awaited attraction between the hot guy and the beautiful woman. Excellent job! I loved it!

    Love at First Sight 2.0

Just when I think “how many more good stories can Dale Mayer write,” she blows me away with this one. Anders met Angel a year ago, and it was like a jolt of lightning. Learning from her that she was engaged, albeit to a womanizing fiancé, Anders activated his “never take another man’s woman” honor code and walked away, but he couldn’t forget her. When assigned to a job involving rescuing England’s Prime Minister’s glaciologist daughter from a mountain in Switzerland, Anders planned to look Angel up when the job was over to see whether she was still on that side of the world, had married, and was ok or not. Turns out that his target for rescue and protection was Angelica, the Angel he knew. From the get-go, sparks fly between the two, and the action never stops. Angelica had closed herself off to romance after seeing firsthand what Anders had seen in her cheating fiancé a year ago, and Anders is working hard to win her love. However, there is something a little off about this assignment, and Anders is determined to figure out just what is really going on. There’s something Angel isn’t telling them, and it appears that the Prime Minister may not have given Levi full disclosure either. It’s exciting right to the very end. You’re going to love this one! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Grrrrrrr

Whist there is suspense and loads of gun fire the first twelve and a half chapters keep you on the edge of your seat. Then the wheels fall off. That is when it becomes gibberish and confusing. It's as if the author was running out of time and chapters and needed to finish the book. There is so much said yet nothing really makes sense or paints a clear picture. Just what was Carlo guilty of, been under investigation for a long time for? Nothing flows, nothing makes sense and whilst it leaves Angel "confused and bereft" I feel the same way even after rereading the last half of the final chapter a couple of times. It made me feel more needed saying but that wasn't going to happen. My first of Ms Mayer's books that just did not have me feeling happy that all's well that ends well.

    Glad I read this one!

Wow! Thank you Dale Mayer. I am not a fan of second chances, but this was more an intense meet on the second round. It really picked up when Angel and Anders are in Europe, at "Carlo's" house. Man Angel you are one feisty women, you go girl! Suspense, some heated sex towards the end. I was able to indulge in the story and then the sex came as the cherry on top. It did not detract from the plot line, which really really was a plus. I voluntarily leave this review, all thoughts an opinions are my own and unsolicited.
