    A Page Turner

It's one of those books you can't wait to snuggle into bed with and regret when sleep takes over. As a historical novel, readers are left constantly wondering of the conjecture the writer has taken liberties with. And that is what makes the book intriguing: for the truth remains out there, of no one's property but the protagonist herself. What makes the novel as close to reality as possible is the complex characterisation of Anne Boleyn - a woman you would criticise one moment and admire the next.

    Anne Boleyn, A King’s Obsession

As with all of Alison Weir’s books, this one brought a well crafted story on a controversial figure. Seeing this period of history through Anne’s brought a unique perspective to a turbulent time.
