    Insanely Good

As a self proclaimed lover of all thing scary and unsettling, I have to say these books were incredible. I have never been this unsettled reading a book before. It was to the point where just reading it too late at night would make you paranoid. I absolutely loved the whole trilogy and highly recommend it to anyone who likes psychological horror.

    Three book bundle

    Rambling, disjointed and ultimately unsatisfying.

    Intriguing read

I read the 3 book bundle and know that I would have struggled to understand had I just read any one book out of that context. Using first person narration - but the narrator changes from book to book and from chapter to chapter in book 3 so almost a 'stream of consciousness' style - an alien mystery unfolds. Known only to a few security cleared state functionaries and dealt with by prosaic government methods which inevitably do not work, we are literally led through a wilderness of confusion. Friend or foe? Hostile or receptive? You need to read to the end of the third book to find out.

    Crap

Horrible. Repetive and verbose. An interesting concept ruined by repetion and incomplete plots filled with vacant words.

    Area X three book bundle

Interesting premise -liked the contrast of what was going on in the minds of the characters vs in the environment around them. A little bit too cerebral for my tastes... but worth a read for sure.
