  • Family, genealogy, and a treasure hunt

This book is a good pick for people who enjoy genealogy and treasure hunts. Julie Fincher is in a relationship with a man she is has her doubts about, but she marries him to please her family. She leaves him the next day for excellent reasons. Her beloved aunt passes away the day after the wedding, and has left a request for Julie, a mystery to solve that involves her haring all over the country following clues. The book was just okay for me, as I could not understand why she would stay with a man whom she really didn't like. I enjoyed the discoveries she made about her Aunt Edwina's first love, and being reminded of the sacrifices British people made during World War II. I received a review copy of this book from Friesen Press via NetGalley, and voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

    Thanks for your feedback!
