  • Unexpected fun

Love this story. It was unexpected and not a typical Vampire/ hunter story. A little mystery. Some action. Great YA book.

  • Love this theory

Aurora Sky is a normal teenage girl that is involved in a fatal accident, resulting in being transformed into a vampire hunter. There are many twists and turns in this engaging and unique stoey, that keep you turning page after page.

  • Fast-paced, fresh take on vampires!

I love this series - I read the first one at a time when I was pretty much done with vampires and definitely with teen vampires, but the idea of a teen vamp hunter in Alaska grabbed me, so I picked it up. I adore Aurora - she starts off the book getting a raw deal and we discover a fresh spin on the way that vampires are created and the way that they behave. Aurora quickly evolves into a kick-ass heroine and I've enjoyed watching her evolve over the series. I know that I'll be sad when the last book comes out and we have to say goodbye. I'd say that the first part of the series could probably still fall under the YA umbrella, but it definitely evolves to New Adult by the end, which makes sense as Aurora leaves high school behind. Also, just because it's YA or New Adult, doesn't mean that the storytelling and the themes are mature because they definitely are. Aurora deals with a lot of issues that young people face, even if they aren't vampire hunters. Do yourself a favor and pick this up - you'll be burning through the whole series before you know it!

  • Overall enjoyable read

It was a quick and fun book to read, I just could not put it down! Sometimes, I could not understand Aurora's behaviour, and the romance seemed a bit rushed in the beginning, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes highschool vampire stories!

    Thanks for your feedback!
