  • The perfect end of summer thriller

Behind Closed Doors is a beautifully written debut that captures your imagination from page one and doesn’t let go until the end. It gets under your skin and in your head. You know it’s good when you imagine what you would do in a similar situation and it causes real life nightmares. It’s been a long time since I read a psychological thriller that lived up to the genre, but Behind Closed Doors does that and more. You can easily read this in one sitting, but I broke it up over several reading sessions to make it last longer. Behind Closed Doors is the perfect end of summer thriller with a deeply gratifying ending! You won’t be disappointed.

  • Is everything really as it seems?

A quick read that will have you intrigued from the start. I’m not a fan of going back and forth in time, but I did stay with it to see what would happen in the end. I didn’t put it down once I started it, but I would have liked a little more at the ending. Grace Harrington meets and marries Jack Angel … and to the world, they lead the perfect life. A gorgeous, successful man with his charming, accomplished wife. They never stop to look at the facts … Grace is never seen without Jack by her side. She cooks brilliantly, yet is slimmer every time they see her. She doesn’t work, has no kids taking up her time, yet can’t manage to meet for lunch. Is it really the perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie?

  • Behind Closed Doors

A well written, disturbing story that will have you questioning everything. It seems that Grace hit the jackpot when she met Jack. A loving, honest and good looking man. She did not plan on what came after the marriage, until it was too late. I enjoyed the ending. I received this book for free from SheSpeaks in exchange for an honest review.

  • Couldn't put it down

If this book doesn't make you examine the relationship of every single one of your friends, then I don't know what will. Jack and Grace seem so perfect together, everyone is jealous of their relationship and closeness. They are inseparable, and their friends just think that it's so cute and wonderful. Well, maybe not everyone, and it definitely isn't wonderful. Grace is a prisoner in her own life. Unable to do anything on her own, and looking forward to a future of fear and torture for not just herself, but her handicapped sister as well. This fall into a non-existence happens quickly, in fact it happens overnight. And she never saw it coming, and now she can't get out. Grace will have to use every last ounce of her resolve to find a way out, and she'll find herself doing things she never thought she would. This book will really get into your head and stick around for awhile. The way everything comes together and flows was very powerful and moving. There's more to this book than I could ever accurately describe without giving the whole thing away completely. If you enjoy thrillers, suspense, or psychological stories, then this is one you will need to read.

  • Behind Closed Doors

Good book, easy to read. Dark and twisty character who gives you the chills thinking about the evil mind he has. Would have like more "shockers" throughout the story, I felt it became slightly predictable.
