    Thanks for your feedback!

    Black Apple

I didn't want to read this book because I knew enough about residential schools to know that it would be difficult to read. But I was quickly caught up in the story of Rose and her strong will and her visions, and her.ability to survive in an environment of sacrifices. To earn her freedom and have no resources except the doctrine of the nuns which is basically denial of life skills outside of the church ! And her ability to make a decision to return to her reservation to find her way was such a triumph for her. An amazingly real and touching book

I couldn't put it down!! It was intriguing from beginning to end. The lead character draws you into her world. I would recommend this book to all my family and friends, as well as, read it again!
