    Very Unique Writing Style

This was such a delight to read! Ms Marks has such a unique writing ability. I can't put into words what a wonderful, deep world she builds with characters that have so much depth I feel like I know them. My mind could picture everything so real and I was transported from reality into this world filled with vampires and crime. I loved the detective. It was so interesting to read about a character who is a succubus, which is the heroine of course. She doesn't know a lot about her abilities or the origin of what she is. She learns to hunt and kick ass with the best of them. Someone is stalking her and also leaving dead bodies in his wake. A really hot vampire who is on the "good" team, happens upon Vanessa one night and tries to feed from her. It doesn't take him long to realize he isn't crazy about her blood. He thought she was human. And his ability to wipe memories doesn't work on her. However, his charm does seem to have an effect. Lol. He brings her into the fold and teaches her how to fight and together with his coven they set out to find who or what is hunting her, along with killing innocent people and leaving the brutalized bodies around. There was so much action and suspense I was hanging onto my seat the whole ride. Thank you Stephanie Marks for writing such fascinatin
