    Alberta History Brought to Life

Reading this story I felt like I was back in the 1930's riding a train from the scorched prairies left by the drought in Lethbridge to the majesty of the Canadian Rockies. The history in this book is fascinating, the couple are realistic, real Albertans with the kind of story that made me feel like I knew them. The Banff Springs hotel is awesome, what a view. Loved this book.

    Love this !!

Wow !! This book made me feel like I was apart of the story. I loved Tilly and Ryan, and the mystery they needed to solve fit perfectly.

A Charm of a Vintage Tale

Ms. Chatham's writing is beautifully descriptive, but Ryan comes on too strong too quickly which is always a pet-peeve of mine with novels. Tilly is a heroine to root for: a nice, naïve girl thrown into a foreign environment. Ms. Chatham writes from the heart. Lovers of romance and those who are interested in this period of history, especially Canadian history, will enjoy this book.

Romance and history at its finest

Author Victoria Chatham has penned a delightful story set in the mid-1930s--a colorful tapestry of history, romance, intrigue, and ghostly encounters. I loved the story's background setting at the glamorous Banff Springs Hotel in the Canadian Rockies., which provided a poignant contrast to Tilly McCormick's sad life filled with loss and grief. Homeless and without a family, she finds employment and a place to live at the hotel. Here she meets handsome Ryan Blake, a driven and knowledgeable trail guide. As the plot unfolds, its many twists and turns keep the reader fully engaged and wanting to know more. Will Ryan finally ask Tilly to be his wife? Will their story end happily? Brides of Banff Springs begins an entertaining historical series of "bride" books in each of theCanadian providence and territories.
