    Bring the Heat

Another home run for G.A. Aiken. I can see each characters as if their would standing right in front of me. You have to read her Dragon Kin series.

    Dragons and Craziness Oh My!!!

**Received ARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review** Bring the Heat is book 9 in the Dragon Kin series- Aiden the Divine and Branwen (AKA Brannie) the Awful's story. This book can be read as a standalone, however I typically think the books are best read in order. Though the author does a good job of letting you know who each of the characters are, and you see some of their personalities, you don't get as much if you don't read the previous stories. This is the hardest review I've ever done on a book. I love this series and have read every book this author writes and under her other name also. I couldn't wait to read this book, and I was so disappointed in this book. First, if I wouldn't have known that it was a romance book, I would have had no idea until after 50% of the way through the book that it was one. The story jumps around so much that it was hard to know what was going on, and the romance was an after thought. It did not feel like the premise for the book, there was more about the other characters in the story then there were about the H&h. I did enjoy Aiden and Branwen as characters, but again, the story didn't feel like it was about them. I always enjoy the humor in the books, and there is a fair amount of it in this book. The humor and the last 25-30% of the book is why I rated it at 3 stars. The book jumped around less, and it started to close out the story line. I did feel like the ending of the story just stopped which was frustrating also since the story between Aiden and Branwen was so limited. Though this story didn't do much for me, I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

    Dragon War

Dragons, Demons, Witches, Kin Folk to the maximum overload. This is not a stand alone read. Action got interesting about half way through after stumbling over all the different characters and the multiple story lines taking place. Was effort to complete because I have not read the others in this series. Writing was smooth and the action was fast paced. "A copy of this book was provided by Kensington Books Via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and my comments here are my honest opinion."

    Freaking fabulous!

As usual the author dazzles us with her fabulous writing skills in this page-turner.  I loved returning to her world of dragons and all the characters I simply adore.  This story is mainly about Branwen the Awful and Aiden the Devine. But all the characters we have come to know and love have their moments in the epic battle against the zealot followers of the eyeless God.  I love love loved this book and highly recommend all the books in the Dragon Kin series, as well as all the books G.A. Aiken writes under the name Shelly Laurenston. You won't be disappointed.
