I have been a fan of Peter Robinson for years. His latest book has all of the elements that I have come to appreciate in his writing: an intriguing plot, thought provoking ideas and solid, interesting characters.

    Who Dunnit par excellence!

Another page turner from Peter Robinson. Interesting but sad turn of events, with just the right dash of clandestine characters and the ever clever Inspector Banks and co. And at the very end, another twist to yet entice us to beg for the next story! Bravo!

Peter tainting as usual. Robinson has a knack of drawing the reader into the plot and characters very quickly. Perhaps a little too much time spent describing the local countryside as well as the references to what music was being played and by whom. All in all, a good read.

But it seemed to me that the story was interrupted way too much because of all the music titles and performers he seems to be needing to tell us about. Skip the music. Get on with the story. I've read all the Banks books. I feel that more and more, "the music" dominates too many other aspects of the stories and it doesn't enhance anything.

Classic Alan Banks.. A who done it.

Peter Robinson's crime series set in the UK with Alan Banks has been a staple. I look forward to each new book in the series. I found this to be a s
