    magical, enchanting, and heartwarming Christmas

Ashley thinks she's about to have the Christmas of her dreams--Paris, engagement, new promotion--but it all falls apart at the last minute. A trip home to spend the holidays with her parents seems the best way to soothe her soul. A chance meeting on the train with a woman who gives her a charm bracelet will change her life. Once home, Ashley's life seems to be linked to the bracelet she can't remove. A dog adopts her, festive cookies, and many more charms, and each must come to fruition on its own--she can't force a charm to reveal a meaning. Then there's Aidan, her first love, now a firefighter. They're forever being thrown together by circumstance and literally falling down; he rescues her on more than one occasion. As Ashley finds herself involved in her hometown's Christmas festivities, the magic of Christmas returns to her heart, while the small town joy wars with the career-minded goals of the big city. A recently unearthed childhood video opens Ashley's eyes to reveal her Christmas wishes in relation to the bracelet. With one foot constantly out the door, Ashley must figure out what she really wants in life, where she wants to live, and if there's room in her heart for a second chance love... with Aidan. A magical, enchanting, and heartwarming Christmas story.. **received an ARC from the publisher**

    A beautiful Christmas story

Ashley had plans with her boyfriend, Jeremy, to go to Paris for Christmas. When he doesn’t propose and says people like them don’t get married, she breaks up with him. She decides to surprise her parents in Owl Lake. On the train, she befriended by Betty. When she wakes up, Betty is gone, but she left her charm bracelet in a stocking for Ashley. This is another wonderful Christmas story about reconnecting with friends and family, second chances, and deciding what’s most important. No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what each charm means and who Ashley will end up with. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

    Wonderful story

I reviewed an advanced copy of this book as a part of the review team. This was the sweetest story and I can’t usually get through an entire full-length book in 2 days, but this one was so good, I just didn’t want to put it down. Ashley left her hometown of Owl Lake almost 8 years ago to follow her dreams - or so she thought. With the help of a little Christmas magic, Ashley realizes that her dreams aren’t as complicated as her mind has made them out to be. After reading the author’s bio, I realized that I have seen many of her books turned into Christmas specials on Hallmark. I can definitely see this story being made into a film version before too long.

    Lovely Christmassy, magical, romantic read

A very enjoyable Christmas romance, with a slight magical element in the form of a charm bracelet. Ashley left her home town of Owl Lake and is working at a highly prestigious jewellery store in the Charms Department. She loves her job but also loves making her own repurposed vintage jewellery in her spare time. This year was supposed to be her best Christmas as she was off to Paris with her boyfriend and was hoping for a proposal. But after a disastrous dinner when it was clear they were on different pages in their lives, Ashley ends up back home for Christmas instead of Paris, and reconnects with an old boyfriend, Aidan. But on the train trip home she meets and chats to an older lady who looks very much like Mrs Claus and has a wonderful charm bracelet on her and, after falling asleep during the journey, Ashley wakes up with the same charm bracelet on her wrist, and Mrs Claus is nowhere to be seen. Despite trying to get the charm bracelet off nothing works, and the charms keep forecasting things that are happening on her trip home, like the lovely dog with a big red bow she finds on her parents doorstep, and tie in with her younger self and what she wished for a perfect Christmas. This was a lovely Christmassy, romantic read with snow, firemen, a Christmas parade and reconnecting with friends and an old love, with a magical element, very enjoyable.

I'd like a second chance like this

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advance reader copy of this story. Christmas Charms, by Teri Wilson, is available at booksellers on 10-6-2020. Writing for Hallmark Publishing is perfect for Ms Wilson. Sweet stories with great endings are her forte. Charms is a wonderful second chance story. I liked all the characters, even the goofy ex. I became invested in Ashley's journey and was pulled into the image of Owl Lake, a perfectly lovely small town. I truly wish someone would give me a terrific second chance like this one. I can only hope. #TeriWilson #ChristmasCharms #HallmarkPublishing #Netgalley #Romance #ContemporaryRomance
