    Thanks for your feedback!

    Very enjoyable family saga.

Traces the life of the heroine through all the ups and downs of her life. Very good characterisation and although the end feels a little concentrated I enjoyed the story.

I really love Margaret Dickinson's books and writing style. This book is no exception. The characters are well defined and you soon begin to relate to their situations. The war years took it's toll on the people in England, and soon revealed their incredible courage. The struggles of the poor contrast sharply with the upper class, contributing to the many interesting characters in this novel.

It hard to say enough good things about this story. Each character is so deep and colourful. Annabelle was such a beautiful character and the story so touching and exciting. It was so nice to move through the generations to the present day. A complete history and an outstanding read.
