    Fates and Furies

When I started reading this book, I was intrigued. I felt the writing was descriptive, and visually stunning. The characters are interesting and the pace moved nicely. However, it seems that admist all the nicities, nothing seems to happen until the second half. This is where could not finish because I lost interest in the character and was apathetic as much as the character. Wished for a better part 2.

    Happy surprise

Even better than discovering a good book is discovering a good writer. Lauren Groff is such a creature. Recommend this book. Will seek out others by her.

    Loved it

The paradox of both narratives is compelling and enlightening. I felt a sense of loss when I completed the novel•

Loved the complex characters. Beautifully written. I enjoyed the little plot twists and the natural unfolding.

    Gradually compelling, lyrical writing

This novel drew me in gradually, and the second half was a very interesting contrast to the first. Beautiful writing, great summer read.
