    LOVED so so much

Every one who knows me knows I'm a Samantha Young fan! Especially the On Dublin series! I love it with all my heart!! This one isn't like it, but it's sooo good!! I must say I didn't agree with it all, but I get it! I understand were it all came from and that's a lot from me! I'm mostly a simple person who can figure things out without it being said or done. Like lyrics they need to be what they say to be in order for me to understand the meaning. This one had parts that made me think "why?" but I understand it, I get it all! Didn't make me happy all the time, but a journey is never simple and drama free. Caleb was a not so nice man when they met and afterward neither of them really got along! I understand that also because I would probably be the same way. I love enemies to lovers this wasn't exactly like it but in a way it actually was. So I loved it! I love how Ava loves to dress up for herself! I know lots of people do it for other people, but to do it for yourself is important! And she was so nice and caring! I admit when I see a beautiful woman (Yep not afraid to admit!) I also think is she nice or is she fake. Because we learn in many ways they are fake, that's sad actually! I have a soft spot for Harper and Jamie also! Harper is someone I would love to have on my side, to consider family! Jamie is just even though we didn't get to see a lot of him he's just awesome! He was there no questions asked to help! It was sweet!

    Great read!

Intense and emotional at times but a very engaging, romantic read. Glad I read it. Hope there’s a spin-off for a couple of the characters.

    Easy Good Read!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I was expecting your average rom-com style story but instead there was actually some meat to the characters. This could be a Hallmark movie.

    Steamy relationship journey

Fight or Flight provides a steamy encounter between Ava, a successful interior designer who seems to be too caught up with looking perfect and in denial, and Caleb, a brooding Scotsman who has no time for nonsense; even to say, "Thank you!" Forwarned, this is not a PG-13 story. I repeat. This is NOT a PG-13 story (which is fine, but I think people need to be warned.) I read this because it was the book my book club chose to read for this month. Would I have initially picked up it to read on my own terms? Yes. Why? Because the synopsis is quite interesting. While the initial few chapters are a bit of a turn off because of the writer's insistence to use the word "hangry" more than once, (although, I also can get hangry so I understand the struggle) I was disappointed with the protagonist's, Ava's, obsession with her looks. It wasn't relatable. And the fact that Ava is perfectly physically, as well as Caleb, was also something that seemed a little too far-fetched and unrelatable. However, Young redeemed herself, at least in my eyes, by the going in depth of the character's pasts as the reasoning behind Caleb's coldness and Ava's struggle to breakdown Caleb's wall. The part when Ava had to walk away from Caleb after admitting her love for him because of his resistance to admitting his, did put a lump in my throat. I was able to feel what she felt in that very moment. And when that happens, the author gains kudos from me. The ending is a happy, yet predictable conclusion. But, the entire time I read this novel did make me look forward to picking it up again. A great read.

    Loved these enemies to lovers

I’ve got a confession to make. I almost didn’t read this book because I got swayed by a few negative reviews. I halfheartedly skimmed the start of the book expecting to dnf. Silly me. Before I knew it I was totally wrapped up in Caleb & Ava’s love story and had finished the book in one sitting! I loved this enchanting enemies to lovers book. Yes there is a lot more hate than love at first and Caleb is a growly, rude Scot, but that’s kinda what makes him endearing. They fight, they love, he says hurtful things he regrets, but don’t we all? I thought it was a great story full of sparks & sass and wonderful secondary characters (Harper & Jamie) who deserve books of their own. Lesson learned- don’t let other people’s opinions influence you. Everyone has their own likes, dislikes and triggers, but I would have been sorry if I had passed on this book because of what someone else thought.
