    Amazing read

The fifth book in the Once and Future Hearts series is “High King of Britain.” What I absolutely love about Tracy Cooper-Posey’s work is the detail, the imagery and the plot. In “High King of Britain” I like how strong the women are. They fight alongside the men. The heroine, Mair, is a strong women who knows what she feels and isn’t afraid to show it. Then there are the strong men. Even though strong they do show compassion like getting flowers because it will help when the wife of another has a baby. Or when another falls during battle the stand to mourn them, to show support. These qualities drew me into the book to learn what happens between Arthur and his men and the Saxons. Then there is the reaction from Mair when loving Alun was brought up by Rawn when she was being down on love and why women do that to themselves. She ran even though she felt something. There is so much occurring in this that just adds to the story. I highly enjoy reading this book and series that I recommend not only this book but series as well. I was given an advanced reader copy of this book for my honest review.

    Great book

I find myself in a bit of a quandary with this book. I've been reading the rest of the series and absolutely loving them. Tracy Cooper-Posey is a great writer whose books have fascinating yet unexpected plots; wonderful characters who, as a reader, I can connect with and therefore care about; and are built on lots of research which makes everything come alive but also lets me learn something new every book. All of which I love and that's why I keep coming back. High King of Britain has all that in spades, but it also takes place in a time with a lot of battles. I found myself not reading all the fighting scenes quite so thoroughly just because the topic doesn't interest me so much. That having been said, there's so much in this book that you'll miss if you love the series but don't manage to read this one. There were a few bits that had me laughing and crying - wouldn't have missed them.

    Amazing

What an amazing read!!!! This is a wonderful addition to the series. I love that while King Arthur and the Round Table is used as inspiration, this is completely unique and introduces a whole different plot. I love the twist and turns. Details and vivid imagery truly made this story come alive. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.

    Arthur!!

This book was written with a flair that this reading audience could appreciate. It was full of everything you'd expect from Tracy. I loved all the character's especially Nair, later to become Lady Mair & Rawn. Arthur & Merlin were also featured heavily for obvious reasons as was Morgana & Lancelot who had made a lot of changes. The changes that were made helped Mair & Rawn to help Arthur to defeat the enemy. There was also a love interest in this book as always with Tracy & it wa of course between Mair & Rawn & oh what a time they had of it. He wanted to, she did but had other ideas too I absolutely loved this book, it was a brilliant read. Thank you Tracy.
