A terrific western filled with action, danger and drama in many different forms. This is the last installment of the series, and all the loose ends, that seemed to be several, from the previous books are wrapped up and brought to conclusion. There are several storylines going on at the same time, the reader gets to catch up with the folks from the other titles, Ainsley's parents still had some unfinished business to clear up, ex-girlfriend's jealousy causing problems, and so on. There's a lot going on, and to keep up with everything, it might have been beneficial to read the previous books in the series, something I didn't do. The book can be read as a standalone novel, but I would recommend reading the previous books first. The suspense, danger, and action are constant and intense. The culprits, that kept me guessing until the end, gave me the chills and made me check the locks in the house. The author changes scenes in the story on a fly and left me hanging, biting my nails, several times. The romance was more on the back side of the tale, nearly drown by everything else going on in the tale, yet still left me satisfied with the events and final solution. An explosive and drama filled ending to a western family saga, spiced up with political power games, menace, and threats, tension and high emotions. ~ Three Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

    A Great Conclusion!

The satisfying conclusion to the Montana Hamiltons was amazing! I almost didn't want to read it because then the series would be over! However, I had to find out how everything ended up so I tried to read slowly but that didn't happen either! I read the book in two days because it just grabs you from the first page and reels you in! I've been waiting to find out what Ainsley's backstory was - she's the oldest Hamilton daughter - and I wasn't disappointed. She's always been the responsible one, the straight-laced one who is a goody-two shoes. It's not that she breaks out big in that, but she does "try her wings" a little to find out who she is. And, Sawyer Nash, was a perfect guy for her. Although he was sent undercover to protect her, he ends up falling for her and comes up big time in the rescue dept.! Of course we also find out all the answers regarding Sarah and "The Prophecy". It's an exciting an heart-stopping conclusion! A lot of loose ends are tied up in the book because so many things need to be tied up! I think readers will be happy with how everything turns out. I will miss all the Hamiltons. I've invested so much time and emotion into this family that I will certainly miss reading more about them! I will also miss Sheriff Curry & Lynette! Two of my favorite characters! The book is a great wrap up! I heartily recommend it!
