    Must read

What a powerful storyteller Richard Wagamese is. It was a hard story to read because of the subject but I couldn't put it down. It really drove home how brutally Canada's indigenous people were treated in the residential schools and in general. But at the same time it felt hopeful, that there is a chance for healing.

Gave me an understanding of the effects of residential schools in the lives of our native people. Richard Wegamese is a great writer and he speaks his people's beautiful language in English

We Have A Responsibily to Read This

As an educated white Canadian I wanted to truly understand the untold story of why Indigenous people are so angry. With a heavy heart I now know why. At times painful to read but essential to c0mplete!

    Great

Written from the heart and brave to tell it like it was. Hopefully others who suffered the same have read this book and it helped them deal with their past
