    Just loved it

I just loved this book it is the first book in the series and is a must-read for all shifter fans. I just loved Yogi and Denise they were fantastic characters. Denise is an animal activist and when she breaks into a lab and frees the animals she is shocked when a wolf cub shifts into a child called Oliver she takes him home to keep him safe. Yogi is sent to get the boy and kidnaps Denise to keep their secret but she does not go easily. This is a great read and I can't wait for more

    Fun!

I like the premise for this story, and I enjoyed that the story is a bit of an adventure. Denise is an animal activist, she breaks into labs and frees the animals. On her latest adventure, she comes across a baby wolf pup, but little does she know, he's not an ordinary wolf pup. Yogi is tasked with finding out what happened to one of the packs missing baby wolf shifter, and when he finds Denise, he's not sure what to make of her. Or what to do with her because the shifters need to protect their secret. This one starts a little slow for me, and I didn't love Denise, but overall, I really enjoyed it. I liked the animal activist angle because it added a danger element. Yogi was great! His name isn't, but the rest of him was terrific. I would've liked a bit more depth to the characters, but Kin Selection entertained me from beginning to end. I've read other L.B. Gilbert books, and I've loved all the ones I've read, so I'll definitely continue to read more. Fun, sweet short story!

Strong Independent Women meets Strong Wolf Shifter

Great wolf shifter story. Denise and her team infiltrates Reliance a research facility to rescue test monkeys. She finds a wolf cub and takes it home where she has tools to free it from the cage. The wolf cub whines until she allows it in her home and sleeps on her bed. In the morning she finds a little boy crying for his Mama and wonders how he got in and starts looking for the wolf cub. When the boy changes to the wolf club and back she realizes he's a werewolf and she needs baby food too and goes shopping. Meanwhile Yogi is assigned to find Oliver and his Mom. He finds Oliver's mom is dead and tracks Oliver to Denise's home and when she sees him climbing out of her window she takes off in her van thinking he is from Reliance. What happens next is Yogi chasing them and capturing them to take Oliver and Denise back to Oliver's pack and finding he likes Denise. I loved that Denise is a strong women not afraid to give Yogi her mind through out this story. I also enjoyed the race that determined the "host" for Denise. I found this to be a delightful enjoyable werewolf story. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.

    Sweet entertaining story!

Kin Selection is a fun and interesting story about Denise, a woman who saves a wolf cub from an unethical animal testing lab only to find out the cub is a toddler/shifter. When Yogi, a shifter is sent to retrieve the cub he kidnaps Denise to test her trustworthiness and ends up with more than he bargained for. This is a sweet, entertaining story and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

    fun with loads of laughs

When a family is killed, their baby cub is found in a research facility the rest is history and funny too. She had no idea werewolves and vampires existed but gets a fast lesson on pack rules. Hysterical I laughed and truly enjoyed this read. Love the characters and the plot. This chick is a mess but you can't help but love her. A little different than the more serious read we normally get from this author but most definitely worth the time and read.
