  • Kismet

This is a story that will make you feel rung out at the end of it. It deals with the trauma of rape and violence . The love story is a gem and something that required a lot of work to get there. It’s very well written.

  • Kismet

From the start of the book to the end I was sitting on the edge of my seat... This story follows the relationship of Maya and Brian and all its ups and downs while a crazy stalker attacks Maya. I found myself falling in love with the characters and cheering for love to win. I was unable to put the book down once I started reading it. I immediately purchased the next book in the series.

  • Reworking fate

This was a darker book. The assaults are not too detailed in my opinion, but the feeling is all there. The author did a wonderful job of telling Maya’s story. It took quite a while for Brian to pull his head from his rear (a couple times!), but he eventually gets it right. I really like the circle of friends and camaraderie among the dispatchers and first responders. It makes the book. I really want to read the next one! I received a free copy of this book.

  • Kismet!

This is a really good small town story with some intense moments and definitely might be triggers for some especially those who have dealt with rape and violence. I do think the author did a good job with such difficult subject matter. Maya has gone through every women's worse nightmare. Brian is living with guilt and what if. This story was tough at times because of everything she endures and goes through. She has an incredible family though that is so supportive and is there for her in so many ways. The story is suspenseful with danger, mystery, passion, love, anger, pain, sorrow, fear and great twists and turns. I look forward to reading more from this author!

  • She now needs the help, she use to give to others

Maya loves her job, and helping people through their time of need or organising things to make sure people get the help they need, but she never expected to need help herself. This story will be hard and possibly have triggers for some people, for Maya is targeted by a stalker (and becomes his victim). Brian seems to be a nice guy, but some of the bad choices he makes (were a bit frustrating to me). All in all it was a great story, and certainly has plenty of angst, danger and lots of extended family. Maya is a giver, and is just unfortunate to be targeted, I loved her. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
