The third Firestorm has arrived and Erik Sorrensson, leader of the Pyr has been kissed by fate and he’s being forced to make a choice ben duty or love in the sensational third book in the Dragonfire series by Deborah Cooke. Erik is a strong, sexy and brooding character that grabs readers’ attention with all of his claws and refuses to let go and when he is joined by his strong and inquisitive mate, Eileen Grosvenor, readers can’t help but become caught up in their firestorm. This relationship has quite a major obstacle that may heal the past or stop the present in its tracks which causes quite a bit of emotional turmoil for this couple as well as discovery and of course their electrifying chemistry that has sparks flying and passions roaring with the Kiss of Fate fueling the flames. Explosive and intense events fill this fast paced and smooth flowing plot to the brim and readers find themselves holding on tight and shaking with the all the adrenaline pumping thrills and suspense. Surprising twists and turns keeps readers guessing and the characters hopping as tensions rise not only between the Pyr and their enemies but between friends as well and let’s not forget that fate has her hand in this exciting firestorm as new allies are found and truths are revealed with life changing and course changing consequences. I have to say that I was completely enthralled by Erik and Eileen’s story and there was no way that I could put Kiss of Fate down until I had read each and every last word in this enthralling installment in the Dragonfire series and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

  • Second chance at love for the leader of the Pyr

Erik and Eileen's story is much more complicated that most of the other Pyr. They did everything wrong in their past relationship, so I loved that they got a second chance at love and a life together. Of course, the Slayers are still after them, and Erik will do anything to protect Eileen. He's so determined to be the perfect leader, he's willing to sacrifice his happiness for the rest of the Pyr. Luckily for him, Eileen is willing to help with her vast knowledge of folklore that might just hold the key to figuring out how to defeat the Slayers. And we get to see plenty of Rafferty, my favorite Pyr, so that's a bonus. If you like dragons, hot shifter dudes, sizzling romance, and epic battles between good and evil, this book is for you!

  • Definitely a must read

This story of Eileen and Erik’s firestorm certainly starts off with a bang! Eileen is asked to consult with an old friend regarding an antiquity in her possession, but evil forces are at work and Eileen is soon embroiled in a literal fight for her life. When a dragon seems to appear out of nowhere and defends and protects her, she is immediately intrigued, although trust comes much later for this pair. So much action happens in this book to advance the storyline of the Pyr vs. the Slayers, but beneath it all it is a beautiful tale of love lost and found, trust destroyed and reclaimed, loyalty betrayed and reaffirmed. Definitely a must read and one I am sure I’ll go back to again. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
