  • Meh. Pass.

I found this book to be a let down and finished it not quite understanding what the New York Times book section was raving about. The quality of the writing was good and the author certainly has a knack for keeping the reader hanging in to see what’s going to happen next but the characters remain very superficial and the plot line, quite frankly, is pointless. This is not the first time I’ve read a book by a younger author where the writing quality of the writing is good but the story itself is so shallow and not satisfying. I had to wonder if this is just the style in which the next generation of authors will write.

    Thanks for your feedback!
