Miss Frost Chills the Cheater by Kristen Painter

Miss Frost Chills the Cheater by Kristen Painter 6th book in the Jayne Frost paranormal mystery series, a spin off from the Nocturne Falls series. You should read the prior Jayne Frost books before this one. Jayne and Sinclair travel to the North Pole where Jayne is the Winter Princess so that Sinclair can more deeply understand what palace life entails. A mystery develops with a toy makers contest and soon Jayne and Sinclair are following the clues to solve the puzzle. A compelling cozy mystery with a bit of danger. The talking cats are a blast. A town of elves with naturally blue colored hair and crazy ice powers. And a huge Christmas tree building where there are floors of elves for making toys, decorating and wrapping, a cafeteria and slides between floors. The full book takes place at the North Pole, so we don’t get the usual cast from Nocturne Falls. And it seems to wrap up the connection to that town which a bit sad. But it’s joyful overall because it’s the North Pole with Santa, Jack Frost, elves and the dreaded naughty list! Overall an entertaining cozy mystery series with a slight innocent bent toward romance in the last two books

    Great Series!

This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Jayne Frost series written by Kristen Painter. Jayne Frost is a winter elf and also a princess. Her dad is Jack Frost and her uncle is Santa Claus. She is excited to be visiting the North Pole with Sinclair. Before she can accept Sin’s proposal she must first make sure that he can handle being her husband since she is the heir to the Winter Throne and will someday rule the North Pole. Things don’t go according to plan when they arrive, there are many citizens that don’t like Sin because he is a necromancer. So when there is an issue during the toy contest some of the citizens start blaming Sin since he is an outsider. Now it is up to Jayne and Sin to do an investigation to find out what really happened and to prove that Sin is innocent. This is a great book with a fun story and well developed characters. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to put the book down until the end. If you love a paranormal books then you need to read this book and the other books in this series. I can’t wait to read then next book by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

    New Miss Frost Installment

I love this series, but I felt this book was a bit slow in the first half. I enjoyed the second part of the book and am looking forward to the next one. I’d love to see what happens now, after that ending!
