An absolute delight and a must read...

Most Likely to Score by Lauren Blakely is a standalone contemporary romance that mixes sports and forbidden relationships perfectly. Featuring characters we met in her previous novel, Most Valuable Playboy, we are reunited with playboy receiver Jones Beckett who needs to clean up his image and the Renegades' team publicist, Jillian Moore. When we first met Jones and Jillian in the novel, Most Valuable Playboy, even from those brief scenes sparks were already flying between these two characters. So to have a novel focused entirely on their relationship had me jumping for joy. I love how smart, bold, and passionate Jillian is. She knows her mind and once she makes a decision, she acts. She also is a good person who loves her family, her friends and her work. She is a strong and admirable heroine and it is very easy to like her as you're reading the story. The same can be said for Jones. A good man with a big heart. Him and his little mutt (Chihuahua, Min Pin, and Dachschund mix) Cletus (plus Jones with all the other rescue animals like Smoky) are hard to resist. He definitely wins the award for best swoon-worthy hero for 2018 in my book. His commitment to his family, team, and four-legged friends is praiseworthy and makes him such a charming hero. Trying to fix is image and garner more contracts, sponsors, and advertising deals, Jones knows he needs to keep his personal life on the up and up. No scandals. This is especially true when the woman he's very much attracted to becomes his personal publicist, not just the team's. Will close proximity to each other bring Jones and Jillian closer or will it lead to a fallout that both have been trying to avoid. Overall, Most Likely to Score by Lauren Blakely is an absolute delight and a must read. Filled with humor, warmth, and love this novel is one I most happily recommend. I can't wait to read more especially about Harlan and Katie. Another great novel by Lauren Blakely. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

    Sexy, Swoony sports romance

Wow. I have a weakness for a good football romance; they're kind of my kryptonite. Combined with the writing of Lauren Blakely? I'm toast. Most Likely To Score combines some of my very favorite things in one place football, sexiness, sweetness and humor. If you're looking for a hot, sexy, forbidden romance look no further than Most Likely To Score! I love when Lauren Blakely writes in dual POV! Yes, she writes hot, funny and swoonworthy men amazingly well (ok, who are we kidding? She's the queen of male POV romances, hands down) but she also writes sharp, smart, sexy women just as well. For me, having Jillian's POV in this book was like the extra point after a touchdown to win the Super Bowl...or the icing on the cake. Jillian was so much fun to learn about. I loved her focus on her work, her passion for it. She's definitely smart and determined to pave her way in life. Was she attracted to Jones? Absolutely. Was she resolved not to do anything about said attraction? Yes. So I loved getting to see her off kilter just a bit with her feelings when she was with him. All the little things that made Jillian tick-from pomelos to cherry earrings-were interesting to read about. This is a character I'd be friends with...and not just because she has a connection to a football team. Jones seems like such a stereotypical football player on the surface...for all of two seconds. There's so much more to this man. He's funny, smart, sweet and sexy. Holy hell is he sexy! He has a strong work ethic, is a family oriented man and did I mention he was sexy? He has such determination and heart-you can't help but fall in love with him. He is absolutely one of my favorite Blakely book boyfriends. The attraction these two have for each other is palpable right from the start of this book. Their banter suits them both to a T and had me grinning. I was biting my lip as the tension rose between them. Their first kiss? Off the charts hot. I was glad to have a backup kindle because the sexy times between these two definitely melted my first one. That being said, there's so much more than just great sex between these two-it's seeing all the other aspects of their relationship and lives that make this book special. This is something that this author excels at; allowing readers to see more of a couple than just their bedroom compatibility. Seeing what makes these two who they are and who they can help each other be is truly special. I liked that they got to see different sides of each other and that they truly GOT who the other person was. Their views on luck were mentioned more than once and really got me thinking. These two are definitely lucky in the love department :) The supporting characters here were fun to read about. They add to the story and support Jones and Jillian without overwhelming them. I loved Jones's family (and could relate to them a bit) and I absolutely adored Jillian's backstory. There's little references to characters in other books-which I always love finding-but again, nothing that takes away from Jones and Jillian. The pacing of this book was spot on. The plot was unique and believable. The writing was fun, sweet and sexy. Lauren Blakely always writes with heart, heat and humor and Most Likely To Score definitely has all of those. This is a book I will go back and read again. I highly recommend it and would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

You just know when picking up books written by Lauren Blakely that you're in for a fun read. And let me tell you - this book is no exception. I'm so in love with Jones and Jillian. These two made my heart skip a beat. They are so perfectly matched it's ridiculous. Everything about them was just PERFECT. The love they share for the sports, rescue animals and each other. I loved the way he proclaimed his love for her to the world. When you read it you'll just want to find a Jones of your own. For everyone who loves a good sports romance you know you can't go wrong with Lauren! Simply AMAZING 💝 ***Review copy requested and reviewed in behalf of OMGReads Blog***

    4.5 puppy stars

Most Likely to Score was such a fun and cute read. Jones is so swoony and such a sweetie. I fell in love with him so quickly and really enjoyed his character. I loved how he always was with Jillian. He is fun and playful with her and also incredibly caring. Jillian isn't too shabby either! I liked that she was very successful in her career, but not some super obsessed woman who will only care about her job. She is a really sweet woman and I loved her backstory. I enjoyed the fun tension between the two of them early on and how playful the relationship was. I enjoyed how their story unfolded a lot and the path that they took. It felt relatable and realistic. They are so adorable together and it was easy to root for them. I enjoyed their story so much!
