As with Cea's first book, I could not put it down! I couldn't wait to see how Cia was going to tackle & rise above all of the problems & abuse that her family's "free living" imposed upon her and negatively set her up for failure right from the start. I am so sorry that she had to endure a lifetime of abuse when she should have been enjoying a loving childhood FREE FROM ANY ABUSE!! I could tell that she wasnn't a quitter & that somehow she would find the strength & resolve to rise above. I feel that Cea has shown everyone who, Heaven forbid may find themselves in similiar circumstances that it is possible to overcome & actually soar!! Unfortunately, my husband & I have not been blessed with children, biologically or through adoption but I can say with my heart as a pre~school teacher who LOVES children that I am VERY PROUD of the woman, mother & wife she has become, against ALL ODDS!! I will highly recommend both books!!

    Fascinating (yet again)

Some books you simply cannot put down until it's finished, and Cea's memoir is one of them! After thoroughly enjoying her first book, I was curious and excited to see another. I didn't know what to expect by I'm happy she elaborated on many experiences that may have been omitted previously. Even though what she went through growing up was difficult, to say the least, I found myself relating to many of her feelings and hardships regarding relationships with her family, and in particular, her mother. Thanks for sharing your story and giving us this second book to devour!

Anyone interested in biographies, this is the book

This book held my interest. Cea certainly had an interesting and difficult life. In some instances it is amazing that she survived at all.
