    Emotional Roller Coaster

I'm only nine chapters into this book which makes it difficult to review. That being said, 'Nobody's Baby But Mine' is leading the reader into an emotional roller coaster. We've got temptation galore. We see everyday life issues front and center and how each character responds can change the course of their lives. Mentioned early is a best friend's marriage falling apart due to cheating. I found it interesting how JT (main character/husband) responds to that news when Rachel (Jt's wife) tells him about their friends problems. He immediately seems to blame his friend's wife for 'maybe' not meeting hubby's needs. Tsk, tsk. That made me cautious about JT. Rachel, who desperately wants a baby, can't conceive. She and JT are very much in love... but remember what I said about 'Temptation'? Well, it rears it's ugly head. It's interesting how each respond. You've heard of those wandering eyes and roving hands.... well JT's eyes sure to wander when it comes to a co-worker who is not subtle in her desire to claim him. Rachel, on the other hand, handles her temptation differently... An ex, who never has gotten over losing Rachel, seeks her out in a business deal. She makes it clear that she is married and knows it's best to keep her distance. Was she tempted? Yes. But she refuses to yield to temptation and does things to distance herself from her ex, including turning over her client's business to her boss. I'm looking forward to seeing how this all comes together. Rachel seems to turn her back on temptation, JT does not. I'm wanting to seeing choices made and how those choices impact and affect others. There always seems to be collateral damage. BTW, Rachel's ex seems to genuinely care about her. JT's co-worker is career driven and doesn't care who she uses to get to the top and seems to being eyeing him to give her a boost. Let's hope JT wises up before it's too late!

    Great story so far

This is the first book I have read by Gloria and I have to say I can’t wait to read the rest of this book. It has left me on tenterhooks to see what will happen with JT and Brandon.

    An intriguing beginning

I requested an advance partial copy in order to provide an honest review. I liked how the book began. JT and Rachel seem like a great couple and I'm rooting for them especially given the circumstances their characters are going through. I've had family who have dealt with one or both of the issues and it can be devastating. One of the first things they talk about is how important communication is as a couple, but it seems as though they have quickly forgotten that sentiment by chapter 7! Each have their own concerns...an ex-boyfriend for Rachel who is ready to stir up trouble and a co-worker for JT who seems to have her own agenda. With the mother-in-law from hell and a sister that is incommunicado, the story is quickly becoming a must read. I cannot wait to read the rest of the story.

    Heart-Warming & Satisfying

This is a lovely, emotionally touching story about love and friendship and faith in both love and friendship. It’s about the roller-coaster of feelings that people in difficult situations go through, and how just dealing with the ordinary stuff of life can require bravery. The characters are well-drawn, the situations poignant, and the resolution will bring a smile to the reader.

    Nobody's Baby But Mine

Loved the book! I liked how the chapters were short so if I only had a few minutes I could read a chapter or two or if I had more time I could read several chapters. The story was great. I didn't want to put the book down. I would definitely recommend this book.
