    Loved!

Loved this one! These characters are amazing and the author did a great job developing their relationship. Parker "Brax" Braxton is a driven man. Just ask his employees with their list of special names reserved just for him. With no time or desire for a relationship he's as surprised as anyone when he finds himself drawn to Layla. Sure she's only staying at his place because he almost killed her but she makes him want things he's never wanted before. She makes him forget about business and think about fun. Is she the one to change his never getting married mindset?? This book is very well done. Surprising low on the heat for this author but high on the romance. Definitely a book I recommend.

    So good!!

Back in college, five jaded friends made a pact that if any of them ever got married they would have to pay each friend a million dollars. They agreed it would make any of them think twice about getting married only to get divorced later. The Penthouse Pact is Parker Braxton's story. The story starts out where he is rushing to the hospital because his mom has been admitted, when he literally hits Layla with his car. He knows Layla because she is the one that hands him his coffee every morning before work at Uncommon Ground coffee shop. Parker is so stressed about his mom, he forces Layla into his car and takes her to the hospital to check her over for a concussion against her wishes. Layla is barely scraping by. She's trying to get her degree and work full time. She can't afford the hospital visit or to miss any work and classes. Too bad Parker doesn't give her a choice. I loved this! It was a light, fun read and just what I needed! Parker pretty much kidnapped Layla and forced her to rest because he felt so guilty. While he was pretty forceful, I wouldn't say he was domineering. He just wanted to take care of her mostly because of the guilt he felt for hitting her with his car. I loved Layla's character. She was a bit too independent but her resistance with Parker wasn't over the top or annoying. Their chemistry was spot on and the banter just added to the fun of the story. This is the type of book I wish I can find more of. I highly recommend it. ARC provided by NetGalley.

    Hit (With Your Car) Romance

Fox delivers romantic couples needing each other to heal their haunted past. Parker Braxton is so wrapped up in business and his personal loss that he relates only to his cell phone. Layla is a struggling student working in a coffee shop. Their lives evolve when he hits her with his car. Quick cozy read from an author with a flair to bring characters off the page and into your heart. Denial dating at it's best!

Layla and Parker were perfect together! Both so determined to make it on their own, not repeat the mistakes of the past they'd been exposed to, while falling harder and deeper for each other It begins with a crash, specifically, Parker crashes his car into Layla. He knows her from his favourite coffee shop, and from there on in, the two of them are together. They both try to deny the attraction brewing between them, and once they finally give in, they deny it is more than it is Reality catches them both, and once they accept what they have, what is going on with them, it gives our sweet and sexy love story the HEA it richly deserves!

    Great!

I liked the story a lot, it was typical and cheesy at times, but the hopeless romantic in me couldn’t resist.
