    Awesome

Another awesome story about the hot smokejumpers of Glacier Creek! After the death of her smokejumper husband Russ, Jacqui Edwards left Glacier Creek to deal with her loss away from the scrutiny of the crew of jumpers. Now she's back and although she first thought she would resign her position working with the guys she finds herself very much wanting to stay! Vin Kingston was Russ's best friend and he's determined to watch over Jacqui for him. This wild and crazy attraction to the woman was something that just couldn't be acted on. Jacqui is determined to move on with her life and she plans on doing that with Vin. She's just as determined to break through his resistance! Definitely a book I recommend.

    Scorch

This is the second book of a series about firemen in Marietta. It is a mature read. You may need some tissues. Be prepared. Vin got Jac at the airport so she can clean out her house and go back to Florida. It is hard to clean out her late husband's things. Major Spoiler. Russ died on a fire call. Vin is supposed to buy her house when his House of his divorce goes through. Spoiler. Jac used to be in charge of the business 's paperwork, etc. She is going back to Florida and yep, she decides to stay. Poor Vin won't stay with Jac in the house. He has loved her but he can't get close as she is her late husband's best friend. She was married to Russ but she loved Vin. There is lots of action with training rookies and getting all the gear for the fire season. Some places in this story makes you want to slap them! Please choose to read this book! Don't let it get away! You will be glad you did! I volunteered to read and review this book.

    Second Chances

Never having a place to belong Vin Kingston is gearing up to move into his late friend and Captain's home. He's spent the last few months fixing it up. After a childhood filled with foster homes and a failed marriage in which he's already lost one house, this place will finally be the one place that is his. Losing Russ in a tragic smoke jumping accident has been hard on everyone. Especially Russ's wife Jacqui, who has till now hidden herself in Florida so that she can mourn away from the prying eyes and inquisitive minds on the inhabitants of Glacier Creek. Having had her entire relationship scrutinized and directed by the close knit community, Jacqui needed a break. Vin is her only link to home and they have unexpectedly built a great friendship. Now she's returning to tie up loose ends but realizes that Florida holds no place in her heart. Glacier Creek is her home and making sure that headquarters on the Glacier Creek Smoke Jumpers runs smoothly is all she's ever known. So when she asks the new Captain for her job back, Vin sees his dream crumbling before him once again. But their friendship has turned into something Vin does not want to admit. His feelings for Jac are strong but he doesn't want to dishonor the memory of Russ. Jacqui wants to explore their relationship but with so much emotional red tape in the way Vin doesn't give her the chance. When another tragedy in the making occurs, Vin is forced to recognize that maybe the best thing in his life and is the one thing he's been holding at arm's length all this time. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

    Loved it!

"Scorch" is a great second change romance that pulls at your heart. You could feel the different emotions of the characters from heartbreak to an intense attraction to each other. As you get into the story you realize that appearances are not always as they seem. "Scorch" by Dani Collins is book number two in the "Firefighters of Montana" series. This is Jacqui Edwards and smokejumper, Vin Kingston's story. Jacqui aka "Jaci" had been running the office for the Glacier Creek smokejumpers and fell in love with Russ the boss. Jaci and Russ got married then tragedy hit and Russ was killed in a jump. Jaci left Montana for awhile and went and stayed with her family in Florida. She is back in Montana with the intentions of packing her stuff up and moving to Florida. I wonder how that works for her? Vin is also a smokejumper and was good friends with Russ. Now, Jaci is Vin's best friend. He kept Jaci's dog while she was in Florida. Vin also agreed to buy Jaci's house once he and his ex sold their house. During the time that Jaci was gone she and Vin stayed in touch. Vin picks Jaci up from the airport and from the start they both are seeing each other differently. Vin has been fighting his feelings for Jaci for a long time. He also doesn't want to lose the friendship they have plus he doesn't feel it's right to go after his friend's widow. Jaci's plans to leave Montana change. She decides to go for what she wants. Their relationship crosses the line into an intimate and steamy relationship. Will Vin take a change on having a stable family with Jaci? Or will he allow his insecurities from his past and the fact that everybody thought that Jaci and Russ' marriage was perfect keep him from taking a chance on love? FYI, includes mature content. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. I really enjoyed Jaci and Vin's story. This is a passionate and steamy story but goes so much deeper than that. A great way to escape your regular routine.

    Scorching!

Yet another hit by Dani Collins. I loved this book. Jacqui and Vin are so good together. Vin was her husband's best friend who, became friend and support to her after his death. When she returns home to tie up loose ends, they are confronted by an undeniable attraction. They both struggle with grief and guilt as their feelings for each other deepen - it's an emotional read that ends in a HEA they both deserve.
