  • A fun romp!

A fun who done it mystery story. Winston Bell is a popular Earl, finally he had the banns read for his arranged marriage to Elizabeth. She is a “cold fish” and there should be warning bells going off loudly for Winston. Charlotte is a wallflower that has a secret crush on a Earl that she can never have. As luck would have it while strolling with her friends through Hyde Park she notices riders racing toward Winston and his mother. Without a second thought she runs towards them banishing her parasol. And so starts one of several events that seems almost deadly. The story is fast moving, a few twists and turns, with a few good laughs thrown in. The who done it wasn’t that surprising, but a fun read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Interesting story!

She thought that he was taken and now lost to her forever but with a twist of fate and excellent story telling perhaps that will not be the case. A duke in danger will find a very unexpected protector and ally in a wallflower. I the twistyness of this tale, good action, great interaction, drama, danger, and love are all in this story. I spent a lovely few hours with these characters I hope you check the book out! I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

  • A LADY AND HER PARASOL

Charlotte Water does not think twice about saving, Winston, Lord Hurlstons life with a parasol. It makes for a handy weapon. Reacting with a instinct honed from her travels, she takes it all in stride to save the man she loves. The downside, he is already engaged and has been arranged for several years. Things may change the closer they get, the more their hearts desire. Who is trying to kill him and why? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Lady with a Parasol

Charlotte Waters does not wish to leave England to travel the world with her parents, again. She needs to find a husband, quickly, in order to stay in London. Since her come out, she has had a tendre for the Earl of Hurlston, but he is betrothed and lost to her. She needs to find someone else. Or maybe not. Fate may have other ideas. When Winston Bell, Earl of Hurlston, is in danger, Charlotte and her deadly parasol come to his rescue. She is strong and kind, and he finds himself depending on her. Who wishes to harm the earl? Why? This is an interesting and exciting story. There is drama, danger, twists, turns, surprises, and a curious cast of characters. An enjoyable read. I received an ARC of this book via BookSprout. My review is voluntary.

  • Entertaining

Winston's betrothal was arranged by his father years ago. He's determined to honor the commitment, even though part of him is falling for wallflower Charlotte. When she comes to his aid after an attack on his life, their lives become intertwined. Is there a way for them to be together? This book was a little slow to start but picked up quickly. Winston and Charlotte are both honorable characters doing their best under difficult circumstances. They're strong and likable individually, and a fun couple together. The mystery plot keeps the pace brisk. Thanks, Booksprout, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
