    Amazing

Ever so often you come across a book/series that is so good, so well developed, so gripping, that days after you finish it still has you. I read book one and two in a single day, I was so engrossed that time ceased to exist. I am counting the days until book three.

    Awesome sequel

This was a great sequel to Shiver and eagerly await the next installment in the series. I questioned the editing in Shiver and now I definitely know that only spell check is used as there were so many errors in this installment. The story though is so good that I still had to give it 5 stars.

A bumpy but ultimately satisfying ride

A bumpy but ultimately satisfying ride This book is darker and more gritty than the previous one, which makes sense since it's about Doc Snow, the most broken of the four friends. The book starts with a tragedy, and we get to know the troubled doctor within this dark period, which adds a heaviness to the story that is handled moderately successfully by the authors. I missed Rowe a lot—he disappeared for most of the book (no spoilers)—and wished more than once for his ridiculous sense of humor to lighten things up a bit. I enjoyed the story and the action/thriller part was off the charts and made me read deep into the night. Unfortunately I had a hard time connecting with Jude and Snow's relationship. Jude is a great guy, but Snow is this formidable, sexy, broken, larger than life man with a steel fort around his heart, and even at the end I still felt like he got past the doctor's defenses too easily, and that Snow's changes came too quickly and too thoroughly for a guy who tethered so close to the edge of the abyss. Another thing I noticed is that this book had an alarming number of missing words throughout the book, and a number of wrong words that are spelled correctly and thus missed by spell checkers. This made me consider giving the book 3 stars, but ultimately I enjoyed the story in general a lot so that it would be unfair. I can't wait to see who's story is next!

    Slow start, good read

It started a little slow, and honestly I put it down for a week or so before picking it up again. For whatever reason I couldn't get into it the first time, this time I couldn't put it down.
