    Going in all directions

A good read with a lot going on. Plots, subplots and more twists than I thought were there, revealed Eventually. As I was reading these bit by bit over time I had some trouble keeping track of all characters and sub plots. Fully enjoyed the read and will look for more of Jeffery's work.

The contrived language and descriptions are so annoyingly distracting they override any plot interest.

    Solitude Creek

WoW! This is a real hum-dinger of a book. If you ask me to tell you what the book is about, I couldn't tell you. I am still trying to digest all the twists, turns, and machinations of the Deaver mind. The ending took me completely by surprise, after being clubbed by what I thought was happening, it turns around and knocks you flat with another reveal you never saw coming. This book, in my mind, equals The Bone Collector (Deaver's best by far) in intensity, suspense, and brilliant deceit.

    Solitude Creek

It was a good read although not as good as many of Deaver's books.
