An intoxicating read that I can't rate high enough

** Review by Gayle from Bloggers From Down Under ** Natasha Madison....What can I say....I am such a HUGE fan of this amazing talented woman that when Something So Irresistible fell into my Kindle I happy danced....It was excitement overload because I knew that I was in for the ride of my life.  And guys what a ride it was. Max is the bad boy of the Stingers. His past is as sketchy as they come. Trouble with a capital 'T'. But nobody really knows Max. They don't see the scars he carries, they don't see the pain that he lives with. They just see Max, the guy who everyone needs to stay away from.  And Max is okay with that. While people keep away, Max can concentrate on his last contracted year with the Stingers. Hopefully they will re-contract him. It's what Max is striving for.  But while Max convinces himself that the next year will be all about his hockey, he doesn't realize that a young, independent, gorgeous woman is about to walk into his life and change everything in it.  She will be his game changer. Her name....Allison Grant, the sister of the infamous Matthew Grant...Max's enemy. God help you Max, your world is about to be turned upside down. Guys what a brilliant read. I loved every single minute of it.  Max Horton....What a guy. It was instant love for me (yes I know he's a bad boy and all). Such a charismatic character, who is all kinds of delicious, naughty, humorous, but with a heart as big as they come. Allison Grant....What a firecracker. She's all kinds of freaking awesome and I loved her from the start. So strong willed with such a gentle and beautiful nature.  And put these two together....They were absolutely explosive. But what touched me the most was this. Although Natasha has the ability to make me laugh (and she did quite often), with this novel I also found it highly emotional, often finding myself wiping my tears away and why.... Because in this novel we get to see that even though we have pasts, we have made mistakes, we have hurt people around us, we are all still capable of love and still capable of being loved. We are all capable of feeling without guilt and overcoming our pasts to make our present happier and more meaningful.  A beautifully, heart-melting, intoxicating read that I can't rate high enough. Thank you Natasha for giving us Max Horton and Allison Grant....Their story was simply irresistible! 5 stars

    You Will LOVE #MadMax!!!

So, to start with, I have to say that I didn't think I would like Max very much (because he was SUCH a dink in Something So Perfect, Karrie & Matthew's story) but I was willing to reserve judgement...after all, this IS a Natasha Madison book and she has NEVER disappointed me! I think I fell in love with him around about Chapter Two (this story is told in dual POVs and Chapter Two is from Max's) My heart couldn't fall fast enough and I fell HARD for this messed up but INSANELY lovable hunk!! This story has it ALL. It's a not-quite-enemies-to-lovers romance that put my heart (and ALL my emotions) through the wringer AND on a roller coaster ride that I didn't want to get off of! Allison Grant is the perfect, strong-willed, spunky and feisty heroine to take on the Alpha, sexy-as-SIN Max Horton and I fell JUST as hard for her as I did for Max! I ADORED the funny, sexy banter that makes this a trademark Natasha Madison read! But it's soooooo much more than that; I SWOONED, I LAUGHED OUT LOUD, I wanted to STRANGLE a certain brother and father a few times (Matthew and Cooper, natch ;) ), I CRIED tears of JOY and FRUSTRATION and at the end, I was TOTALLY, COMPLETELY AND IRREVOCABLY in love with #MadMax!!! I will leave you with my favorite quote from this book and tell you, you NEED to get this AMAZING, emotional, FUNNY and sexy book!!! You won't be sorry! "But I love you, heart, body and soul. It's yours, angel. Forever. Marry me. Be my home. Let me be your home. To my last dying breath I promise to be your home."

    #MadMax has my heart

If I could give 100 stars, it still wouldn’t be enough! I don’t usually like stories with assholes turned good guys, but when I read the epilogue to Something So Perfect and realised, who Allison’s partner was gonna be, I was shocked, then intrigued. To me, anything Natasha Madison writes, is gold, she could write a shopping list and I’d love it, but this book, this book is so much more than anything she has previously written. I laughed, I got angry, I cried and I completely lost my heart and soul to Max Horton, the guy with the rough upbringing, angry at the world and everyone in it, only caring for his sister, until he spends more and more time with the sweet and sexy Allison. With her family hating him due to past mistakes, the two form an unlikely friendship, and get closer and closer, but neither wanting to cross that line and risk getting their heart broken, until one night changes everything. Allison is a strong and sassy heroine, I loved her as a kid in Something So Right, and then her appearances in Matthew and Karrie’s book, as almost an adult, but here, she is most certainly all grown up and knows what she wants. The cameos from her family, Cooper, Parker and their other children, Justin, Zoe and Zara are hilarious, I can only hope the 2 girls get their own books because they are hellions! This story isn’t instalove, it has a complete slowburn vibe to it, and I think that’s one of the main reasons I loved it so much. Nothing was forced, they didn’t go from hating each other to loving each other over night, it was a tempestuous journey, and I felt every emotion with them, along the way. From the very beginning, Max had my heart and this gorgeous, tortured man, never needs to give it back! I can say, without a doubt, this is my top read of 2018, and I know, the book I will read, over and over again! As always from Natasha, she smashed it, but this time, she smashed it so hard, it is in outta space!

Second Chance to get it right

I am seriously considering a new category. I seem to be drawn to men who are seemingly the growly, grouchy bears. The jerks we love to hate and love. And Mad Max is not an exception but the definition of the rule. I believe that if we aren't, we all want to be a little bit of Max. Protective, driven, loyal and sincerely wishing we can say exactly what is on our minds. And we'd all need an Allison. Someone to temper the bluntness and soften the edges. It's their characters - how they love to hate each other before they can learn to love each other that drives the reader to turn the pages. Their chemistry is undeniable and leaps into our hearts. Now, series police here: I pretty much insist that you at a minimum read book 2 (Something So Perfect) first before diving in. Max's character ARC really starts there along with Allison and the entire set of secondary characters involved. I think to truly appreciate the journey starting with book 1 is on your to-do list. You don't need to be a fan of the hockey world or any sport to appreciate thestory. Natasha Madison gives the readers a full scope romance that embraces humor, tension and chemistry for a perfect to add to your TBR. 5 out of 5 stars

Something So Irresistible by Natasha Madison

Natasha Madison’s scores a hat trick with the third book in the Something So series, SOMETHING SO IRRESISTIBLE. I loved Max Horton’s and Allison Grant’s story. Allison is the daughter of Parker Grant and Cooper Stone (book one), and the sister of Matthew Grant (book two). Max is Mathew’s teammate and sort of nemesis. The story takes place a few years after book two. This contemporary hockey romance is suitable for adult audiences. I appreciate when an author can sway your original opinion of a character. I did not like Max in book two. I adored him in book three. I enjoyed learning his back story. He grew up a lot. He regretted his past mistakes, especially where Mathew was concerned. We first met Allison when she was a little girl. She is now twenty-three and working as the New York Stingers Public Relations Representative. Initially, Alison and Max cannot stand each other, which is understandable due to Max and Mathew's history. I love that they call a truce, becoming friends. They have fabulous chemistry. They make each other better people. I enjoyed the dynamics between all the characters within the series. I like that the story was told from both Allison’s and Max’s point of views. The plot was interesting and carefully thought out. The story was skillfully written and exciting from start to finish. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
