  • Great setup

Considering this is the first of a series, Son of a Trickster does its job. It is a slow paced novel, filled with drugs and alcohol, with a hint of magical elements, more towards the end. It feels like something is brewing throughout the novel but never actually reaching the high. This doesn't necessarily make the novel bad, just makes you wonder if it could have been abbreviated. I suppose waiting for the next one will explain it all. So for now 4/5 stars.

  • Son of a trickster

I found this book to be very confusing and it didn't seem to have an ending, more like a wrap up that left you thinking you missed something.

  • readable

Wasn't my favorite book ever although I did read it until the end. I found the characters unlikable and was unable to align myself with their storylines. Something to read while you're looking for something better to come along

  • Terrible

Tried with a lot of effort to read beyond page 30 but just couldn't muster the courage. Very depressing. Maybe the book hides interesting twists but I'll let someone else find them.
