    Wow.

What an amazing and compelling book where you get lost in both the central tragedy but then the hope and resiliency of the characters. An excellent read but likely one that might difficult for those who have experienced trauma related to violence.

    Loved it

    Surprisingly Insightful

When this was voted off Canada Reads in round one, I wondered if it was just not up to snuff. Well I was wrong. The story of First Nations and Metis women, living in the heart of Metis country, facing life's challenges and showing us their perspective of life. A multi generational story that every Canadian needs to read. I loved this book.

    Incredible

I have not read a book lately that i could not put down and thought about so much when i wasn't reading it. The characters are so real i found myself wondering how they are doing and couldn' t wait to get back to find out .

    Good book

A serious look at the different points of view when tragedy strikes. Evil, helpless, strong, weak, and of course, terrified! Also proves that when a family sticks together you can get through almost anything with love and time.
