A lighthearted romance with some suspense

A suspenseful romance, The Cunning Thief is lighthearted entertainment. The team is back together, however I missed the intensity and suspense of the previous books in this series, as well as the interaction between the characters. There were a number of gaps in the story, and although there are later explanations to cover the gaps, I did feel some confusion. The team's client isn't clear and the reason why they embarked on this adventure isn't certain either. However, I did enjoy the cheeky Tristan and Shae's response to him kept him on his toes. The story does flow smoothly and the editing was good, which is always a bonus, however I missed the strong story telling found in previous novels by this author. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

    Good story...

ARC for honest review with no compensation The Cunning Thief is book 6 in the Stolen Hearts series by Mallory Crowe and again she has given us another bad good or good bad book… Tristan and Shae meet when they are held captive in a closet and discover they have the same adversary though for different reasons they decide to work together to defeat him along with the members of Hart Securities but the question is can they and will the sparks that are flying between help or hinder what needs to be done??? Glad to see our old friends from past books too! !

Another Great Read by Mallory Crowe

Oh my gosh!! I loved this book. I have been so anxious to read it and very impatient as I had to wait for my new Kindle to arrive which it did today. This is a great book and one of my favorites in the 'Stolen Hearts' series. Our main characters are Tristan and Shae and many of our old friends that we have met and grown to love throughout the last five books. The only thing that is sure and true about our hero, Tristan is that every word he spews is a lie. It's a part of his job and it's a part of him, who he is. Now, Shae couldn't tell a lie if her life depended on it. She is naive, pretty innocent and quite straightforward. These two had a huge spark from the moment they laid eyes on each other. Shae is a beautiful woman who buys properties, improves and then flips them. It is an honest business and one she loves. She is estranged from her father because he sabotaged her new business trying to get her to come back into the family business with him. But, she was seeing too many signs that the work he did was not always above board and if he needed to hurt and frame people for his own purposes he didn't hesitate to do so. Once she became aware that it was him tearing apart her new business she left him...never to return. Tristan, who is a gorgeous hunk and big-time con man, now works for Toni and Scott Hart who are the leaders of their group of Merry Men...and Women. These are the 'good'-bad guys fighting crime and bringing justice that has failed through the legal system and dirty cops. They retrieve what was stolen and give it back to those it was stolen from. When you're dealing with the bad guys it isn't always easy or convenient to do what they do through legal means. In this book, Tristan gets a little over-anxious when lurking in the shadows trying to glean information. It is there he runs into Shae who has been locked up in the same closet-type room that Tristan is in. Seems the guy he needs info from is the same one trying to hurt Shae. Mallory...another genius book of yours. Can't wait for the next one.

    Great read!

Shae flips houses for a living and Tristan is a highly skilled team member of Hart Securities. The initial meeting of this unlikely pair is pretty wild but subsequently ends up with Shae in an uneasy alliance with Hart Securities as they go up against a common enemy. There's also a steadily increasing attraction between Shae and Tristan throughout the story. They're like two sticks of dynamite with a slow burning fuse but when that sexual tension finally explodes, it is hot! What I love about Mallory Crowe's writing is that there are no wasted words. Her well plotted stories build steadily to edge of your seat action packed climaxes. The Cunning Thief is another great romantic suspense story by this talented author and I loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

    Another great hit

****I voluntarily received an Advance Review Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review**** This is a great addition to the series and about the bizarre meeting of Tristan and Shae Grant. The story continues as the group seeks to destroy the Blackthorne group and its entities with Shae receiving a surprise of her own. I’m looking forward to reading about Hunter. A book well worth reading!
