    Action, romance and engaging characters

Very much enjoyed this book: possibly the best of the three in the series! Characters were full and well described, storyline had depth (whereas the previous one, Three Weeks.. didn't do it for me), and there was great energy to the writing. Kept me engaged from start to finish. I'd recommend this book for a fun read.

    Highlander's Pincess Bride

Tissues! Keep tissues close to you. Vanessa has written a deep book here. It was hard for me to read this story but I couldn't walk away! I like Scottish books and Vanessa writes good Scottish series. Victoria was a by blow of the Prince Regent. Victoria was a governess being stalked by the and finally she was afraid for her life and shoved him down the stairs. She left to go to friends. They send her to go to Scotland to teach boys how to be gentlemen and for Kade to play his music. Nicholas is Lord Amprior.Victoria tries to teach them all but works more with Kade. Poor Nicholas has raised his boys. There are many problems as his wife and son died. Graeme and Grant, the twins, are into anything. They get caught about a still and is torn apart. Now Victoria is taken for her to go to tell her version. This book pulled me right into it. This really is for adult readers! There are a lot of spoilers here. Don't let it get away! Enjoy your reading! You won't regret it!

    Another Improper Priness

“ Her own experience had taught her that cruelty lurked everywhere even among the highest ranks of society. Victoria could almost believe that wealthy, powerful men like Thomas Fletcher were the worst, because they used their privilege to abuse others.” Victoria Knight is in enough trouble to have her family want to get her out from under the scrutiny of the ton after her former employer attacked her, resulting in his demise. A governess by trade, she accepts a challenge that takes her to the wilds of Scotland to help “tame” the brothers of the Earl of Arnprior. However, first she has to hide her secrets where no one can find her. A bunch of unruly half grown men, Nicholas Kendrick’s brother don’t feel they need a governess but she is drawn into the family and becomes as protective of them as they are of her... and they don’t know half of her story. Will they still accept her after the past comes looking for her? I have now read a couple of Vanessa Kelly’s Improper Princesses series, having won them in different contests. I really like them, in part, because they are a bit of a “poke” at Regency romances with a soupçon of the “Princess trope” that seems, at times, to permeate culture. I highly recommend this book and other books by this author. 5/5

The Series Keeps Getting Better and Better!

This series just keeps getting better and better! In the story of Nick and Victoria, she seems the ever so correct governess. Yet being around Nick makes her have very improper thoughts! As she weaves her spell over the Kendrick men, they slowly start to correct their behavior, all except Nick who can only think of anything BUT correct behavior when Victoria is around. I loved seeing Nick's granddad fall under her spell as well, I wasn't sure old Angus would come through. I still feel bad for Royal and I have a feeling he will have something to do with Ainsley's story! Loved the book and can't wait for the next one!
