    Unfamiliar territory.

My favourite author. Of all his books in the Ava Lee series this is the only one which has rather disappointed me. I found it hard to keep up with the political nature of the plot and the many new characters. The reason I really like this series is because of the intimate nature of Ava Lee so well described and written by Mr. Hamilton., but this time I felt I lost her. The back-ground felt intimidating and without the 'mystery of the Orient' which I have come to expect. I do look forward to his next book however, and hope Ava Lee's nature and family will be more to the forefront.

A return to form for the series

I was very disappointed with the last 3 Ava Lee books. The author placed Ava in the fashion industry which didn't feel true to the character of the earlier novels.I'm glad to say that there is no trace of fashion folly in The Imam of Tawi-Tawi. I truly hope it's gone for good. Ava,as a favor to a former client, goes to the Phillipines to investigate what might be a terrorist training ground and a plot to attack America.Joining forces with local law enforcement as well as the CIA,what Ava unearths is something far more menacing and shocking. Ava even busts out her bak mei chops in a brief glimpse of the butt-kickin' old days.Hopefully, this is a good sign for future adventures.

I loved this ebook and now I am sad that I have to wait another year to read the next one.

    Winner winner

This was an exceptional novel. Mr. Hamilton is a master at storylines, and this novel is no exception. This was truly the best of Ava Lee, she is a fabulous character. The story makes for late night reading. Thanks for an awesome read. Waiting patiently for the next adventure.
