    The Last Hours

I found this a fascinating read since it explained the relationship between lord and serf in understandable terms and outlined the reasons that led to the rise of free men and women and ultimately the middle class. I had never really thought about the desolate landscape left after the death in such graphic terms but the mystery and the history are skilfully joined in this book. A great story with solid underpinnings.

    The Last Hours

I have been a fan of Minette Walters for a long time. I wasn't sure what the story was about, or if I would enjoy it. It was very different, as it was set in the time of the Black Death. She did a great job of portraying life as it was at that time..... I totally recommend it....

    The Last Hours

A descriptive insightful story of the Black plaque and the widespread devastation it cause. The style of writing kept me in suspense. The character development was worthy of a good tale although not totally believable for the era. Good read.

    The Last Hours

I absolutely loved this book. Couldn't put it down. I found myself still reading into the wee hours. I can't wait for the sequel.

    Excellent

Best Minette Walters book ever. A departure from her regular mysteries but suspenseful to the last page. Bring on the sequel.
