    Flynn tops herself!

When I compare Flynn's writing to her earlier works, I give her 5 stars. I have been reading books by this author for a few years now. While Flynn writes a variety of romance styles, her best quality is that of the rom-com. Some of my favorite books are the Sweet series with sisters of a questionable past trying to recover their family business in their hometown. (check them out if you got this far in my review!) The Negotiator has topped Avery's book list for writing. I think this is her best work yet. The story may have been predictable (to a point), but she is outdoing herself in writer's growth. It's fun to see these changes. And defend all you want, but a poorly edited book really distracts from the storyline and you don't have that here. And how about those characters. Clover is one of my favorite heroines to date by Flynn. She is tough as nails, but yet has this "unsure" quality. She sees the negativity that we all see in ourselves, but she presents herself in a confident and take-no-crap way. She has no filter which leaves Sawyer open-mouthed at times...literally. And kept me chuckling throughout the book. So if you are looking for literary genius with a story of magnificent proportions, go check out the non-fiction section. If you are looking for a good, fun, weekend or even one-sitting read with a lot of romance, then look no further!

    Fantastic Read!

The Negotiator (A Hot Romantic Comedy) by Avery Flynn This is billionaire Sawyer Carlyle and Clover Lee's story. This book is fantastic! I knew from the beginning that this book was going to be a winner. Sawyer works all the time. He has a reputation for being grumpy. Well, thanks to his brother he ended up hiring Clover as his Personal Buffer. Now, you will just have to read the book to find out what Sawyer's brother did. Well, Clover is something else! I fell in love with her right away. Right away you can feel the chemistry between Sawyer and Clover. Sawyer and Clover are so different but are perfect for each other. A fun, entertaining, and hot romance. In the end who is the best "negotiator? Or do they negotiate for a long term plan where they both are winners? Be prepared to laugh and lose yourself in this story. You won't be able to put it down. FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    Loved it!

'The Negotiator' by Avery Flynn. This is the story of Jane "Clover" Lee and Sawyer Carlyle. Clover has applied for the job of 'buffer' that Sawyer's brother put in the paper. Clover likes to be independent and doesn't want a permanent job. So with those two things she has ended up doing a lot of odd jobs like a 'snake milker'. So Clover thinks this will be the next new experience for her. Sawyer is the oldest son of a very large business that is family owned. His father has died about three years ago and now his mother has come out of mourning with the tunnel thought of getting Sawyer married. So Sawyer is now faced with a determine mother and beautiful but no personality women being thrown at him. Sawyer just wants to run the family company and help make sure his family is okay. After having a few drinks with his brother he happens to joke that he needs a 'buffer' to deal with his mother's marriage minded women. But his brother surprised him by putting a ad in the paper and now Sawyer is having to let these people no there is no job. When he goes to tell them Clover speaks up and shows him that he may need her after all. This was funny yet very sweet romance that I couldn't put down. I loved also the secondary characters which makes this book and extra joy to read. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

    Loved this one!

LOVED this one!! It's fun, witty, and sexy good. The overall premise is great but the characters make this one memorable. Clover is my new favorite female character! Workaholic billionaire Sawyer Carlyle was only joking when he commented to his brother that he needed a "buffer". Mainly to keep their meddling, wedding crazed mother at bay. But when his brother actually posts and ad and he has someone applying he's intrigued. He's always thought of himself as the king of negotiating but he realizes how wrong he is when the applicant, Clover Lee, quickly out negotiates him for the position. That should have been his first red flag but before Sawyer knows it he's doing things he never would have done before Clover. Good thing she's only around for six weeks or he'd really be in trouble!! Put this on the must read list. I highly recommend it.

    Avery Flynn's best book ever!

Clover Lee needs to fund her trip to Australia, she’s done a little bit of everything, but is not really qualified for anything in particular, so when she sees an ad for “a buffer”, why not? Said buffer is to help Sawyer Carlyle deal with his ever-interfering mother. Especially now that the widowed Mrs. Carlyle wants her eldest son to get married, Sawyer needs help. Sawyer’s brother Hudson “helped”: Hudson put an ad for a buffer, when the brothers had imbibed a bit too much. Sawyer can’t believe his eyes, however when he sees that Clover, the lone woman applying for the unusual job, is the one to get his mother to leave his office within minutes, Sawyer knows he needs Clover. It doesn’t hurt that she’s very pretty, which prompts Sawyer to ask her to play his fake fiancée for six weeks. But the enticing bohemian drives a hard bargain! In THE NEGOTIATOR, Avery Flynn does what she does best, and multiply that by ten: engaging and original characters, a solid plot, and laughs galore with a dash of delectable steam thrown in. Only Avery Flynn can cook up a somewhat outrageous story and give it such charm, and a real sense of fun. Ms. Flynn had me chuckling from the beginning with the unconventional Clover battling the staid Sawyer, and this is done so much better than I have seen in quite some time; I was totally on board with these two truly opposite characters. The story unfolds at breakneck speed, every detail is perfect, and I also adored Clover’s roommate Daphne, who, I hope, will get her own story. I read THE NEGOTIATOR while I was exhausted, I had a dreadful headache, I was in a grumpy mood, and yet the story held my interest and made me laugh. You can’t ask for more than that! I want Daphne’s story, I want Hudson’s story, Tyler Jacobson? I want it all! I have been a fan of this author for a long time, and I think that THE NEGOTIATOR is Avery Flynn’s best book ever! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
