Wish this book existed when my son was diagnosed

Yanofsky has written the ultimate autism guide: helpful without being preachy, concise without omitting resources, informative without being jargon-laden, realistic without being depressing. Perfect for parents setting out on the ASD rollercoaster ride.

The Now What? Parents' Guide To Autism

This book is an excellent resource for parents who have just found out their child has autism. It is informative and practical, with advice from everyone a child with autism needs on their team; parents, threrapists, and parent coaches. It also offfers great advice for how parents and their child's support network can work together.

Easy, accessible introduction to ASD parenting

Well-crafted advice and practical strategies are plentiful in this “getting started” guide for parents new to an ASD diagnosis. Yanofsky sets just the right tone of expert guidance and reassurance for parents in a short, accessible format. Parents of children diagnosed at a younger age will find this book the most beneficial -- Heather Fawcett, MSW, co-author "More Than a Mom: Living a Full and Balanced Life When Your Child Has Special Needs"

A great resource of parents of ASD children!

Joel Yanofsky's "The Now-What? Parents’ Guide to Autism" would be an excellent first read for any parent whose child has been recently diagnosed with ASD, as well as for parents of older children/young adults. Both informative and highly accessible, Yanofsky's eBook manages to provide the much needed balance of being an excellent resource for parents of ASD kids, without becoming overwhelming/bogged down by too many details. I strongly recommend it!
