    Informative

I found this book incredibly informative. It saddened and angered me at times that nurses could be treated so poorly but it also brought hope that we could work to make their jobs better. I will respect my nurses much more from now on. Thank you.

A must read for the public, and healthcare.

This book follows the story of 4 ER nurses at various stages of their nursing career. It uses the anecdotes provided from these nurses to serve as an example for the bigger issues at hand. Very well detailed and provides many reliable sources and statistics to support the issues presented. The book touches on many problems such as: Drug abuse by nurses, bullying directed at nurses from superiors and co-workers, Understaffed hospitals leading to a high patient to nurse ratio, poor administrative treatment towards the nurses, misconceived public perception of nurses, and more.
