    Fantastic

Reminiscent of Brandon Sanderson and Patrick Rothfuss. Amazing read with lots of twists and turns.

    Great connections to religions

Absolutely amazing. Epic. Just like the wheel of time. Makes you think more about the Bible as you read this. Another name of God is El. Think about it as you read this book.

Can't waint for the next in the trilogy!

Well written, lots of different plots going on at the same time and going from one to the other, but easy to follow. Keeps us guessing. Likeable characters.

Felt a bit long but good

Was hard to get into but definitely had some engrossing parts that carried me through.

    Wonder-filled, very cool magic system

Shadow of what was lost is a somehwhat traditional style book bad has its own flair. This book is fast paced and I feel there's quite a bit left on the table for imagination/character development. This trilogy easily could be a longer set of stories. Many things happen very suddenly with little time to see into the hearts and souls of the characters. That said I very much liked this book and look forward to reading the second I'm the series. The story is really wonder-filled and despite somewhat easy to read characters (feels like there could be more depth) is well worth reading.
