A strong and intelligent man, made his own world.

As a life-long introvert I could definitely relate to Chris's feelings. Not to the point of disappearing though. Really admire the writer's tenacity and compassion for Chris! Also it is well written and thoughtful. Hoped for the best for Chris!

    Great read

It was a very well researched topic. I enjoyed it a lot and it was my first Kobo book. I would share this with friends.

    Easy escapist read

Fascinating, easy reading - a bit of escapist food for thought, who hasn't idealized vanishing into the woods for a while?

    Absolutely Fulfilling

This book answers a lot of questions I had been searching for, when repeatedly reading stories and news updates on Christopher Knight. Like with many other individuals who choose solitude as a way of life, I was both fascinated and awe stricken by his dedication to survival, his instinctive patterns, and ability to remain completely disciplined during the 27 years he spent living in his woodland home. The book was worth every penny I spent. I look forward to re-reading it again some day.
