    Great mystery / suspense

Just as good as her earlier books. A great read told from different characters' perspectives.

    A well-crafted story

"The Suspect" tells the story of the disappearance of two 18 year old British girls who were traveling in Thailand. Journalist Kate Waters takes on the story and discovers that her own son Jake is involved in the mystery. A well-crafted novel, "The Suspect" holds the reader's interest from beginning to end.

    Disappointing

I enjoyed this author’s previous books and I was very excited about this one. Once again I expected too much. I’m sure that I’m in the minority but in my opinion this book seems to have been written in a rush. It is more of a drama than a thriller. There is nothing exciting about it. The chapters are very short. The dialogues are too simple and short. The story line was poorly developed and not very believable. The whole thing was very amateurish and perhaps written for youngsters. But, at least, it is a very fast read. The only reason I forced myself to finish was more out of curiosity (if not stubbornness).

    Excellent read!

Have enjoyed all of her books and this one does not disappoint! A really good story. Had a hard time putting it down. Will look forward to her next book. By the way, we are not related as far as I know.
