    Easy read

Good beach type read. The characters are not well developed and the heroine is a bit whiny but the plot is fun and makes you keep reading just to know what will happen.

    Just okay, not great

I finished this book a couple of days ago and am just now getting around to writing a review. I think it says a lot about a book if I couldn't even remember what it was about at first. This book is okay, certainly not great. I read In a Dark, Dark Wood not long ago and, to tell the truth, the heroines were kind of interchangeable. I don't know why this author writes such insipid, whiny main characters but I don't really like them. In this book, it's Lo. She is offered the chance to go on a cruise and write a travel piece. She actually writes nothing, not one word and her job is very seldom mentioned. She hears a scuffle in the next cabin and something hitting the water. From this she infers that someone has died. She is then very surprised when no one believes her. There was almost no suspense or mystery to this story, at least for me. I'm not sorry I read this book, but I hope the movie is better..

    Plodding read!

I can't remember a protagonist so incredibly annoying and because of my lack of sympathy I found this a very difficult book to get through. I had also guessed what was going on right from the start which was disappointing. I couldn't recommend this book to anyone.

    Not worth the time

Could have been good if there hadn't been so much "verbiage". On and on with insignificant details....she is soooo tired all the time...not worth your precious time. Not at all like Agatha Christie!

    frustrating read.

Lo has to be the stupidest person alive. If she was not so lucky she would be dead and Darwin would say "SEE".
